THRU THE CRACKS – GOODFELLAZ

What in the world ever happened to Goodfellaz?  It’s as if they just fell THRU THE CRACKS.  This R&B group of three guys, DeLouie, Ray and Angel, seemed to have all kinds of promise.  They were produced by The Family Stand and their 1997 Goodfellaz album was sweet!  Man, this is a rough bizness where being good ain’t good enough!  If anybody out there knows what happened to this group, please post a comment.  Meanwhile, I’m gonna share with you the videos from my favorite Goodfellaz songs.

Do these songs ring a bell or better yet, bring back any memories?  The songs are the beautiful ballad, “If You Walk Away,” the fun song, “Sugar Honey Ice Tea” and lastly, “Nothing At All,” which was placed on the soundtrack for the also overlooked 1997 Rusty Cundieff movie, “Sprung.”  Even if you’ve never heard of Goodfellaz, check out the videos; it’s the kind of music us Old Heads are always wishing today’s young Soul artists would make, straight up R&B.  It’s well written and produced by Peter Lord and The Family Stand, also overlooked Masters of Music.
